Restaurant review: Friend’s Diner

By Abby Allen

The Friend’s Diner in Whiteland, Indiana, is one of U.S. 31’s newest additions to its vast array of dining choices.

Upon entering the building, a simple dining area left me wondering if they’d completed the decorations yet. The atmosphere was okay, just a little lacking in that eye-popping, attention-grabbing decor that you’d expect in an up-and-coming business in the restaurant industry.

The biscuits and gravy on their breakfast menu were delicious, but I’m unsure if they were worth the hefty price. I could see this place was and is still trying to get onto its feet, as they’re fairly new to the market.

The staff was friendly, as the name suggests, and aside the hefty prices that will help the business get off the ground, this restaurant is very cozy and a great place for a family gathering.
