“Atypical” Review

“Atypical” is one of the newest Netflix Originals, and it is about Sam, an 18 year old high school student with Autism Spectrum Disorder, a condition that challenges a person’s social skills. Sam wants to start dating, and with the help of his therapist and family, Sam begins to learn about women.
This show was very interesting and I was pretty hyped when I first heard about it. My hype senses were correct because I enjoyed this show very much. While it was good at demonstrating the challenges of autism, it also had humorous moments and characters that you can connect with. Sam was an interesting person, and a fun personality to study. Unpredictable with good intentions.
I definitely loved the first season, and I’m still not sure how I’m going to handle the wait for the second season.
